Having the COURAGE to Post BAD ART

Hello ^⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠^

How are you today? (Initially I wrote a sick introduction but after reconsideration, I thought we will be better without).

Since November, I wanted to make a YouTube Video about watercolor painting and I made it, last month. It was catastrophic.

Jinx's iconic braids were off of place, the shimmer eyes... And the (stupid not) innovative idea to add pink and green, for a sense of harsh lightening...

I painted a guy and it also a mess... I was so upset that I didn't post the video, it was.... *Les mots me manquent.*

Everything was not that bad but didn't get as planned, my art generally ok get to unrecognizable, my hand was shaking, the phone recording.... There was nothing worthy to share or to talk about in my eyes. It was messy, I accepted the fact that I wasn't made for long form content and should continue my YouTube Shorts. Easy to made and get *always as planned.*

I give up the idea of making videos until DECEMBER.

It was exciting plotting and outlining a video idea, and it was so great that I came up with 3 solid scripts <⁠(⁠￣⁠︶⁠￣⁠)⁠>.

After several weeks of anticipation, I set-up my equipment (my phone on a DIY Tripod) full of optimism. *Sigh.* Sweet innocent child.

My pencil disappeared, and the eraser. I searched everywhere. Like a fool. After thirteen minutes, I found them, sat down, checked the camera angle and hit record. The sketching session was surprisingly pleasant. And the ultimate sign of chaos approaching...

After finishing, I take a look on the recorded video... A blurry something that looks like my hand breakdancing on the yellowish lined paper. ＼⁠(ﾟ⁠ｰﾟ⁠＼⁠)*...why...?*

I was so upset that I didn't give a fuck (excuse my bad manners). In a second I changed the quality to 820p to 1080p. It was the cause of the blur....

PS : It wasn't. *Nervous laughter*

I sketched like never before and ended (again) with drawings that didn't go as planned... I couldn't stop sighing, and just quit to reading.

Thinking about it, I recalled a sentence in a video essay of Rudy's Gems :

> We romanticize being an artist. We should normalize the bad days too and activities not relied but essential to art.

And since I was completely fond of this quote, I reconsidered posting this video or using it as footage/ B-Roll.

Do you have a bad art tutorial (?) Yes? So fuck off (my plenty excuses) and post it ! No ? So make one!
